CoolSculpting® is a patented nonsurgical cooling technique used to reduce fat in targeted areas. It’s based on the science of cryolipolysis. Cryolipolysis uses cold temperatures to freeze and destroy fat cells. The procedure was created to address specific areas of stubborn fat not responsive to diet and exercise. It targets fat cells on inner and outer thigh, abdomen, sides, upper arms, and chin.

Get Your Personalized Plan
- During your consultation, discuss what areas you'd like to treat, your body contouring goals, and ask questions about treatment.
- Our team will assess if you’re a candidate for treatment and develop your personalized treatment plan.
- Personalized treatment plans include how many CoolSculpting® treatment sessions you’ll need to see your desired result. A treatment session is each time you come in for a treatment appointment. Each session may include multiple CoolSculpting® treatments. For many patients, two or more treatment sessions are recommended to reach their body contouring goals.
Start Your Treatment
- We will take clinical photographs to help you track your before, during, and after progress.
- Next, we'll outline the area to be treated, apply a gel pad to create a barrier between the applicator and your skin, and then place the applicators on your body.
- As treatment begins, you’ll feel a light vacuum pressure and an intense cold. After approximately 10 minutes or so, the area being treated will become temporarily numb.
- Everyone has their own sensitivity to discomfort, but most patients do not find the treatment painful. In fact, many people say they like to read, catch up on email, watch TV shows, or even take a nap.
- When each treatment ends, the applicator(s) and gel pad are removed. The treated area is then massaged to help break up the fat cells.
- Each treatment is approx 35 - 45 min.
Return to Your Day
- Since CoolSculpting® has little to no downtime, you can go back to your busy day.
- This is important! CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss procedure. Continue to maintain your usual diet and exercise routine.
- Since many patients receive more than one treatment session, you may return for additional treatments in 6-8 weeks.
- Your body will naturally eliminate the treated fat cells. Typically, it takes 1-3 months to see results, with full results taking 6 months or more.
- After your treatment plan is complete, don't forget to ask to see your before, during, and after photographs!
