Dr. Setzer
Dr. W. Scott Setzer, M.D. is a Board Certified Family Physician and graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Seeking to spend more quality time with his patients, Dr. Setzer realized his dream of opening his own private practice in October, 2011. The practice philosophy allows much more time with each patient, thus Dr. Setzer is able to focus on his patients’ lifestyle choices and provide and integrative, holistic approach to overall wellness. Living healthier means living with more vigor, purpose, and confidence. This has evolved into an interest in skin health and aesthetic procedures. Dr. Setzer has been performing skin procedures since 1997. He has since trained extensively in the art of aesthetics and launched Setzer Aesthetics as a complement of the medical practice in 2012. When not managing a busy medical practice, Dr. Setzer enjoys traveling with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys personal fitness and is an avid fly fisherman.
Alexandria Kennedy
Alex Kennedy is a licensed aesthetician with nearly a decade of experience in advanced skincare and medical aesthetics. Originally from Central Pennsylvania, Alex is thrilled to be back home after several years out of state, returning to be closer to family and the community she loves.
Alex’s approach to skincare is rooted in education, trust, and results. She believes that great skin starts with listening — taking the time to understand each client’s goals, lifestyle, and concerns before creating a customized treatment plan. Her passion is helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin in a way that feels natural, sustainable, and confidence-building.
With a strong background in medical-grade skincare and advanced treatments, Alex has extensive experience with customized facials, HydraFacial®, chemical peels, microneedling, and acne-focused therapies. She is especially skilled at addressing common skin concerns such as aging, sun damage, texture changes, and hormonal skin shifts — concerns many women experience over time.
Clients appreciate Alex’s warm, approachable style and her ability to explain treatments and skincare routines in a clear, empowering way. She focuses on long-term skin health, blending in-office treatments with simple, effective at-home care to help clients feel confident in their skin at every stage of life.
Alex is excited to bring her experience, compassion, and personalized approach to Setzer Aesthetics and looks forward to helping clients look refreshed, feel confident, and truly cared for.
